Former head of Trump Super PAC says Democrats may put up Colorado governor against Biden in 2024
"Jared Polis is also the first gay governor in the history of our country and I think that he desperately wants to be the first gay president of the United States," Ted Harvey said.
Former head of the Trump Super PAC, Ted Harvey, said Wednesday that Colorado Democrat Gov. Jared Polis may be an "attractive candidate" to run against Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential primary.
"I think Jared Polis is going to be an attractive alternative to Joe Biden," Harvey said on the John Solomon Reports podcast. "Jared Polis is also the first gay governor in the history of our country and I think that he desperately wants to be the first gay president of the United States."
Polis is the 43rd governor of Colorado and won re-election in 2022 by a 20% margin.
"Those that fund the homosexual agenda political machine in the United States desperately want to see Jared Polis be the first gay president of the United States," Harvey continued. "He's probably worth half a billion dollars so he can fund his race nationally as well."
Harvey also predicted that current president Joe Biden won't run in 2024.
"I don't believe Joe Biden is going to run," he said. "I think the Democrats are going to figure out a way to have him step aside. He's obviously declining mentally."
"I can't imagine that the Democrats are going to allow him to continue on as their nominee in the next election cycle," Harvey continued. "So I think that you are going to have other candidates in the Democrat Party get in and I think Jared Polis is going to be at the top of that list."
