Former Trump advisor Monica Crowley says that swing states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan are up in the air in terms of going to Biden in 2024.

"Any of the states that are in the industrial Rust Belt and have tended toward Democrat or voted for Joe Biden last time- they're all up in the air now," Crowley said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.

She said that a major factor in this is the auto workers strike that recently began in Detroit, Michigan.

The United Auto Workers union last week launched targeted strikes at three factories belonging to the Detroit Three automakers, marking the first time the union conducted strikes at each of those companies simultaneously.

"I think most people understand what this strike is all about – that he's [Biden] putting the screws to the Big Three automakers on EV's and it's going to put a lot of auto workers out of work," Crowley explained. "Because the cost to build an EV is about 40% less than to build a combustion engine car. So this push toward EV's is going to put a lot of people out of work."

Ford President and CEO Jim Farley suggested earlier this month ahead of the strike that his company couldn’t pay workers what they wanted because of the cost of the electric vehicle transition.

Crowley went on to say that Biden's presidential brand is falling apart over this situation.

"Joe Biden's whole political brand since the time he came on the political scene was 'I'm an average guy from Scranton, Pennsylvania, and I am ... in the brotherhood with unions.' Well, he's really putting the screws to the average worker in this country," she said.
