Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced Monday that state officials will recertify the results of the 2020 presidential election after finishing three recounts.

“It’s been 34 days since the election on Nov. 3,” Raffensperger said at a press conference at the Georgia capitol. “We have now counted legally cast ballots three times and the results remain unchanged.”

“I know there are people that are convinced the election was fraught with problems, but the evidence, the actual evidence, the facts tell us a different story,” he continued.

In the final tally, Democrat Joe Biden defeated President Trump by 12,670 votes, or .2%.

Raffensperger, a Republican, said Trump’s campaign’s claims of voter fraud have been “debunked."

"Whether it’s the president of the United States or a failed gubernatorial candidate, disinformation regarding election administration should be condemned and rejected,” he said. “Integrity matters, truth matters.”

“All this talk of a stolen election, whether it’s Stacey Abrams or the president of the United States, is hurting our state,” Raffensperger said.

Abrams was the Democratic gubernatorial candidate who refused to concede the state's 2018 gubernatorial race to Republican Gov. Brian Kemp.

Over the weekend, Trump asked Kemp to lobby the state’s legislature to overturn the results of the election in the state, according to The Washington Post.

The president called Kemp on Saturday morning and reportedly asked the governor to appoint electors who would vote for him when the Electoral College meets on Dec. 14, a person familiar with conversation told The Post.
