Harris repeats call for second debate with Trump: 'There's more to talk about'
Trump and Harris debated for the first time on Sept. 10 on ABC.
Vice President Kamala Harris challenged President Trump to agree to a second presidential debate before Election Day, saying there's "more to talk about."
Trump and Harris debated for the first time on Sept. 10 on ABC, which was the most watched debate since 2008, according to Neilson ratings data.
"Join me on the debate stage. Let's have another debate," she told reporters on Sunday. "There's more to talk about and the voters of America deserve the conversations that I think we should be having."
Harris accepted an invitation from CNN last week to debate on Oct. 23. Election Day is November 5.
Trump said that Oct. 23 is "too late" to debate, given that early voting will have started in many states.
“She’s had her chance to do it with Fox,” Trump said. “You know, Fox invited us on, and I waited and waited, and they turned it down. They turned it down, but now she wants to do a debate right before the election with CNN because she’s losing badly.”
