A new Emerson College poll of 1,000 likely voters shows Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, ahead of former President Trump, the GOP nominee, by only one point in the race for the White House.

The survey's margin of error is 3%.

According to the poll results, which were released on Friday, 49% said they were supporting Harris compared to 48% for Trump.

The poll's results show the race tightening with Election Day around the corner on Nov. 5.
