Harris says anybody who breaks into her home is 'getting shot,' then regrets comment
"I probably should not have said that," Harris said as the audience laughed. "But my staff will deal with that later."
Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris said at a town hall event Thursday night that she would shoot anyone who breaks into her home.
The livestream event was hosted by celebrity and Democrat donor Oprah Winfrey.
Winfrey said she was surprised to hear Harris say during her Sept. 10 presidential debate with GOP nominee former President Trump that she was a gun owner.
"If somebody breaks into my house, they're getting shot, sorry," Harris said before chuckling at the "Unite for America Rally."
"Yes, yes. I hear that, I hear that," Winfrey said.
"I probably should not have said that," Harris said as the crowd laughed. "But my staff will deal with that later."
