Nielson ratings show 67.14 million people watched the ABC News prime-time presidential debate Tuesday night between GOP nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, beating the CNN presidential debate between Trump and President Joe Biden.

ABC's debate also ranked number one "among the broadcast and cable networks across all key demos in total viewers" at 19.05 million, according to Nielson, a leading audience measurement group.

The debate between Trump, a former president, and Biden, who dropped his reelection bid after his disastrous June 27 debate with Trump, attracted 51.3 viewers. Harris replaced Biden as the Democratic Party nominee.

ABC said those figures are from live and same day data compiled by Nielsen Media Research.

ABC also said their debate was the "most-watched network debate in at least 16 years since 2008."

The debate aired Tuesday night and the viewership figures were released Wednesday evening.
