Harris, Walz to hold campaign rally in the swing state of Arizona as Trump goes to Montana
Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes greeted the Democratic candidates when they arrived.
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz campaign Friday in are swing-state Arizona while GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump heads to Montana for his rally.
Walz and Harris arrived in Phoenix on Thursday and the rally will be held at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale's Westgate Entertainment District.
Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes greeted the Democratic candidates when they arrived.
"I think that Kamala Harris matches Arizona perfectly," Mayes said, according to Fox 10.
Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly was discussed as a potential running mate for Harris before Walz was selected.
Trump is scheduled to host a rally in Bozeman, Montana, at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse at Montana State University.
Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy, endorsed by Trump, is expected to be at the rally.
