Ivanka Trump calls father's conviction ‘painful,' says she will attend GOP convention
“On a human level, it’s my father and I love him very much, so it’s painful to experience, but ultimately, I wish it didn’t have to be this way,” Ivanka, 42, told podcaster Lex Fridman.
Ivanka Trump described her father's conviction in the New York hush money case as "painful" during a podcast interview published on Tuesday.
Ivanka, who served as a senior White House advisor in former President Trump's administration, also said she plans to attend the GOP convention on July 15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
“On a human level, it’s my father and I love him very much, so it’s painful to experience, but ultimately, I wish it didn’t have to be this way,” Ivanka, 42, told podcaster Lex Fridman.
Ivanka is not serving as a delegate at the convention. She introduced her father at the 2016 convention.
It is unclear if she will be speaking publicly at the convention this time around.
