James Comey posted a photo of himself wearing a Biden-Harris shirt on Election Day

Former FBI Director James Comey on Election Day tweeted a picture of himself sporting a Biden-Harris t-shirt while holding a Biden-Harris mug in his hand.

"Vote for your country," Comey declared in the tweet.

Comey—who was fired by President Trump in 2017—has previously expressed his support for the Democratic presidential candidate.

"We need to elect Joe Biden," Comey wrote in an August 2020 opinion piece in which he blasted President Trump and Attorney General William Barr.

"If we care about the rule of law, Joe Biden must be our next president," Comey tweeted in August.

He also expressed support for Biden amid the Democratic presidential primary.

"Voted in first Dem primary to support party dedicated to restoring values in WH," Comey tweeted in March. "I agree with @amyklobuchar: We need candidate who cares about all Americans and will restore decency, dignity to the office. There is a reason Trump fears @joebiden and roots for Bernie. #Biden2020."
