Lindsey Graham wins South Carolina Republican Senate primary
Graham appears to have resoundingly defeated three lesser known opponents
Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday emerged victorious in South Carolina's Republican primary and will advance to the fall election as he seeks another six-year term in the Senate.
The race has already been called in favor of the long-time senator who has served since 2003 and currently is chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
With only 17 percent reporting, Graham held a wide margin of victory over his opponents who finished much further behind—Graham had more than 70% of the vote.
Graham will now face Democrat Jaime Harrison during the November election.
