Mark Cuban not ruling out presidential run: 'Never say never'
Last year, Cuban said he was considering running for president, possibly as an independent.
Entrepreneur Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, said Friday that he is not ruling out a 2020 presidential run.
Cuban was asked if he thinks it is too late for another candidate to enter the race.
"Oh, it's plausible. It's definitely doable but the question is should you do it? And that's what I don't know," Cuban said during an Axios live event about the coronavirus pandemic's impact on the economy.
Last year, Cuban, an investor on the ABC television show "Shark Tank," said he was considering running for president, possibly as an independent.
Cuban said he is still keeping the door open to running but it is unlikely he will ultimately decide to jump into the race.
"I doubt it but you know, like I said, everything is a reset right now. You never say never," he said. "I'll keep an open mind but I seriously doubt it."
Cuban also said he considers the coronavirus pandemic an opportunity for many companies to "reset" because "we have a chance to go into America 2.0."
"This is the chance to make your company stronger so that when we come out on the other side, you're a much better organization," he said.
