Mike Lee endorses Trump for president, saying America has a 'binary choice'
"I’ll take the mean tweets. I choose Trump," Lee wrote on X.
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, threw his endorsement behind former President Donald Trump for 2024, saying America is facing a "binary choice."
"I just endorsed Donald Trump," Lee wrote on the social media platform, X, on Friday. "Whether you like Trump or not, Americans face a binary choice."
He went on to criticize the Biden administration for the border crisis and making life hard for everyday Americans via his policies.
"Biden refuses to enforce our border, prosecutes his opponents, & embraces policies that make life unaffordable for hardworking Americans," Lee continued. "I’ll take the mean tweets. I choose Trump."
During an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, Lee said a vote for Trump is a vote for America First.
“The American people have a choice to make. In this circumstance, they have a rare, historically unusual chance to choose between two presidents,” he said. “They have a chance to choose between order and lawlessness. They have an opportunity to choose between putting America first or America last.”
Trump has also picked up key endorsements from House GOP leadership including Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn.
