MSBC host Joe Scarborough said after President Biden's halting debate performance Thursday night that “unless there’s a change,” former President Donald Trump will be the next U.S. president.

The "Morning Joe" host said Biden “tragically did not rise to the occasion.”

Co-host Mika Brzezinski added: “Biden had a terrible night.”

The MSNBC morning show hosts have defended Biden’s mental acuity and disputed report of his decline over the past three and a half years in office, according to the political news site Mediate.

Scarborough, a former Florida GOP congressman, who left the Republican Party, nevertheless defended Biden on policy.

"I will gladly debate anybody any time, any place, anywhere over the issue of whether Joe Biden has been the most effective president in passing bipartisan legislation and expanding NATO and responding to the rising threat coming from China by flexing America’s strength, around China by having the strongest economy in the world, bar none,” he said.
