Musk to attend Trump rally in Pennsylvania at site of July assassination attempt
The campaign event is the first one held in Butler since Trump survived the shooting on July 13.
Billionaire entrepreneur and X owner Elon Musk plans to attend a campaign rally Saturday for GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, the city in which a gunman tried to assassinate the former president in July.
"I will be there to support!" Musk wrote in response to Trump's post on the social media platform X about coming back to Butler.
Gunman Thomas Crooks fired several shots into an outdoor rally on July 13 in Butler, grazing Trump's right ear and killing an attendee, and wounding two others.
The rally is set to take place at the site of the assassination attempt.
Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, formally endorsed Trump after the assassination attempt occurred.
