Ohio GOP Senate candidate Bernie Moreno has launched a $25 million ad campaign across television, mail and radio.

The Trump-backed Moreno hopes to unseat incumbent Democrat Sen. Sherrod Brown in November.

As part of the effort, he released an ad on Tuesday criticizing Brown for helping to "create the crisis" at the U.S. southern border and highlighting his voting record's alignment with Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris.

Former President Donald Trump backed Moreno during a crowded Republican primary in which he defeated Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and state Sen. Matt Dolan. The tough contest depleted Moreno's war chest and led to a slow pace in advertising until now, according to Politico.

Brown has reserved $43 million in ads since April.
