The Cook Political Report on Tuesday changed their prediction for the Texas Senate race slightly in favor of Democrats, as there seems to be momentum behind GOP Sen. Ted Cruz's opponent.

The report changed the race from “likely Republican” to “lean Republican," according to The Hill.

The report's editor Jessica Taylor acknowledged that Cruz's opponent Rep. Colin Allred, D-Texas, had some good fundraising numbers.

She also noted that Cruz's abortion comments could be harmful in his re-election bid.

However, Taylor did say that it would be tough for the Democrats to win Texas.

Democrats have been pouring money into the Florida and Texas Senate races as the election continues to get closer.

Polling has shown Cruz leading Allred by less than three points.
