Fitzpatrick wins Pennsylvania GOP House primary; McCormick advances to challenge Democrat Sen. Casey

Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., and Republican David McCormick,  former under secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs during the George W. Bush administration, will run against each other in November.

GOP Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick on Tuesday night won the GOP primary in the state's 1st Congressional District, defeating far-right candidate Mark Houck.

Fitzpatrick is the co-chairman of the moderate Problems Solvers Caucus in the House.

He will run against Democratic candidate Ashley Ehasz in the general election. Ehasz ran unopposed.

Democrat Sen. Bob Casey and Republican David McCormick, former under secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs during the George W. Bush administration, will run against each other in November. Both ran unopposed in the primary.
