Wisconsin GOP Sen. Ron Johnson projected to win close reelection bid

Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson has won his third Senate term, according to two news outlets that called the race at about noon Wednesday.

NBC and CNN both called the race for Johnson over Democrat challenger Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes. 

The Associated Press has yet to call the race, but the wire service shows Johnson with 50.5%, compared to 49.5% for Barnes, with 99% of votes counted.
