Responding to Trump, Russia’s U.N. ambassador says war in Ukraine 'cannot be solved in one day'
At the CNN presidential debate last Thursday, Trump said he would settle the conflict as president-elect before taking office for a second term.
Russia’s United Nations ambassador says former President Trump wouldn't be able to solve the war between Russia and Ukraine in one day.
At the CNN presidential debate last Thursday, Trump said he would settle the conflict as president-elect before taking office for a second term.
During a CNN town hall last year, Trump said, "I’ll have that done in 24 hours."
Vassily Nebenzia, Russia’s U.N. ambassador, was asked about Trump's statements about solving the war in Ukraine.
"The Ukrainian crisis cannot be solved in one day," Nebenzia told reporters on Monday.
Nebenzia placed blame on Ukraine’s Western supporters for the reason a peace deal hasn't been reached. He said Ukraine and it's allies blocked the potential peace deal in April 2022 and advised Kyiv to continue the fight against Russia.
