Republican National Committee Chairwoman Rona McDaniel is doubling down on the group's demand for a loyalty pledge for any candidate seeking the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

“It’s the Republican Party nomination and the pledge is staying,” McDaniel said Thursday on the Fox News Channel. “Anybody who wants to seek the nomination of our party should pledge to support the voters."

The pledge essentially states a candidate must ultimately support who wins the nomination.

"If you go through this process and you take time on the debate stage and you’re going to be there, the number one pledge should be beat Biden," McDaniel continued. "It’s called the 'Beat Biden Pledge' for a reason, because at the end of the day, we all have to be united in one thing."

On the concern that such candidates as former President Donald Trump and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie might not agree to the pledge, McDaniel said it' "staying."
