Kansas Republican Senator Marshall endorses Trump's 2024 reelection bid
More than a dozen senators have endorsed the former president in 2024, as have more than 70 House Republicans.
Kansas Republican Sen. Roger Marshall on Monday endorsed former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, making him the latest GOP member of Congress to voice his support for the former president.
"Since the day Joe Biden stepped foot in the Oval Office, this White House declared war on American agriculture and American energy independence in pursuit of their Green New Deal agenda and electric vehicle mandates," Marshall said, according to Fox News Digital.
"Joe Biden declared war on American sovereignty by opening our borders, ceding control to the cartels, allowing nearly 10 million illegal aliens into our country, and permitting lethal fentanyl to pour into our communities," he also said, referring to the record numbers of illegal immigrants who have come to the U.S. since Biden entered the Oval Office.
Marshall also said Biden abandoned America's "Christian values and undermined our constitutional rights."
Marshall added that Trump, who was president from 2017 to 2020, supports Kansas farmers and ranchers, which is the primary reason he is endorsing the former president.
With Marshall's endorsement, more than a dozen senators have voiced their support for the former president in 2024, as have more than 70 House Republicans, per The Hill.
