Soros 'dark' money goes to independent Nebraska candidate and NY Democrat candidate's salary: report
New York congressional candidate Laura Gillen reportedly got a $40,000 "fellow" salary with the group Our American Future Foundation.
Major Democratic donor George Soros has been pouring money into an independent Nebraska candidate and paying a New York Democratic candidate's salary.
Independent candidate Dan Osborn, a mechanic and union leader, is running to unseat Sen. Debbie Fischer, R-Neb. and is backed by two PACs called Retire Career Politicians and the Nebraska Railroaders for Public Safety.
Retire Career Politicians received $800,000 over a few months from the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a controversial dark money group which has received more than $75 million between 2016 and 2022 from Soros's group, the Open Society Foundations, according to Fox News. The Sixteen Thirty Fund is operated by the left-wing Washington consulting firm, Arabella Advisers.
According to another Fox News report, Soros’s political empire has given thousands of dollars to New York congressional candidate Laura Gillen, a town supervisor from Long Island.
She reportedly got a $40,000 "fellow" salary with the group, Our American Future Foundation.
This is one of the many groups funded by Soros.
