Tech leaders of Amazon, Apple, Meta, Google say they look forward to working with Trump
"We look forward to engaging with you and your administration to help make sure the United States continues to lead with and be fueled by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity," Apple CEO Tim Cook wrote.
Jeff Bezos, founder and chairman of Amazon, congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday for an “extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory” after he defeated Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory. No nation has bigger opportunities,” Bezos posted on X. “Wishing [Donald Trump] all success in leading and uniting the America we all love.”
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy congratulated Trump for a "hard-fought victory" and wrote that "we forward to working with you and your administration on issues important to our customers, employees, communities, and country.”
Last week, Bezos, the owner of The Washington Post, explained why the newspaper did not endorse a candidate in the election after backlash. Bezos said that endorsements from newspapers create the "perception of bias" and do not influence the decisions of voters in an election.
Apple CEO Tim Cook congratulated Trump and said his company looks forward to working with his administration.
"We look forward to engaging with you and your administration to help make sure the United States continues to lead with and be fueled by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity," he wrote.
Meta CEO Zuckerberg posted on Threads congratulating Trump as well.
"We have great opportunities ahead of us as a country," Zuckerberg wrote. "Looking forward to working with you and your administration."
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google parent Alphabet, also congratulated Trump for a "decisive victory" and said he's "committed to working with his administration to help bring the benefits to everyone."
