Texas GOP Attorney General Ken Paxton earlier this week announced a probe into over 100 potential noncitizens who cast over 200 ballots in previous elections.

“Illegal aliens and foreign nationals must not be allowed to influence Texas elections by casting illegal ballots with impunity," Paxton said in a press release Tuesday. "I will not allow it to continue."

He said that 100 potential noncitizens allegedly cast over 200 ballots in the 2020 and 2022 elections.

"Thanks to President Trump’s decisive action to help states safeguard the ballot box, this investigation will help Texas hold noncitizens accountable for unlawfully voting in American elections," Paxton's statement continued. "If you’re a noncitizen who illegally cast a ballot, you will face the full force of the law."

Congressman Troy Nehls, R-Texas, praised Paxton for his efforts on social media.

"Great work," he wrote on X. "We must do everything we can to protect the integrity of our elections."

Last month, Paxton launched a separate investigation into 33 noncitizens who allegedly illegally voted in the 2024 election, according to Fox News.
