Former President Trump joined the social media platform TikTok over the weekend and already amassed more followers than the Biden campaign.

Trump's account featured a video of the former president with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White at a UFC title fight in New Jersey as its first post.

In about 24 hours, Trump had more followers than Biden at around 3.5 million.

Trump once tried through executive order to require the sale of TikTok to a U.S. company or face a ban but the attempt was blocked in court. Trump opposed a bill that Congress ultimately passed to ban TikTok unless it is sold to a U.S. entity. He argued that move would empower social media platforms like Facebook.
