Trump: 'I’ll probably end up debating' Harris but 'I can also make a case for not doing it'
Trump's campaign said last week he would not agree to a scheduled debate with Harris until she officially becomes the Democratic nominee
Former President Trump said on Monday evening that he will "probably end up debating" Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump's campaign said last week he would not agree to a scheduled debate with Harris until she officially becomes the Democratic nominee. The former president was previously scheduled to debate President Biden on September 10 in a debate hosted by ABC.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Monday night asked Trump whether he would commit to a debate with Harris.
“I want to do a debate. But I also can say this. Everybody knows who I am. And now people know who she is,” Trump said. “The answer is yes, I’ll probably end up debating.”
He argued that a debate would need to be held before early voting begins in certain states.
“The answer is yes, but I can also make a case for not doing it,” he also said.
