GOP vice presidential nominee JD Vance say he continues to try to get tech billionaire Peter Thiel to contribute to his and presidential nominee's campaign with now just roughly nine weeks remaining before Election Day.

“I’m going to keep on talking to Peter and persuading him that – you know he’s obviously been exhausted by politics a little bit – but he’s going to be really exhausted by politics if we lose and if Kamala Harris is president,” said Vance, the Financial Times reported Thursday.

Thiel has reportedly decided he won't donate to any candidates for public office in the 2024 election cycle.

“He is fundamentally a conservative guy,” Vance also said. “I think that he needs to get off the sidelines and support the ticket.”
