A group of Republicans in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District urged former President Donald Trump to reverse course and endorse House Freedom Caucus Chair Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., in his re-election bid.

Rick Buchanan, chair of the 5th District Republican Congressional Committee, and a group of 24 Republican leaders in the district wrote a letter to Trump encouraging him to rescind his endorsement of state Sen. John McGuire over Good.

“We hope President Trump reconsiders his ill-advised endorsement and stands with the Grassroots America First supporters of Congressman Bob Good,” Buchanan and the other Republicans wrote.
