Billionaire entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy won the Republican nomination for Ohio governor on Tuesday night, according to the Associated Press, and will face Democratic nominee Amy Acton in November.

President Donald Trump has endorsed Ramaswamy, who co-led the Department of Government Efficiency with Elon Musk in Trump's second term and was a 2024 GOP presidential candidate.

In other key races in the state, former Ohio Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown and Republican Sen. John Husted won their respective nominations for the Senate, per the Associated Press. Brown is hoping to flip the seat back to blue.
