Voters in GOP S.C. primary will decide fate of Rep. Nancy Mace on Tuesday

Mace picked up Trump's endorsement and her leading challenger in Tuesday'e election, Catherine Templeton, former director of labor, licensing, and regulation for the state, has been endorsed by McCarthy.

Voters in the Republican primary for South Carolina's 1st congressional district head to the polls on Tuesday to decide the fate of Republican Rep. Nancy Mace.

This time around, Trump has endorsed Mace in the race. 

In the 2022 election cycle, Trump had endorsed Mace's opponent, saying at the time that the lawmakers was "despised by almost everyone." 

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif, endorsed Mace in the 2022 election.

Mace's leading challenger in Tuesday'e election, Catherine Templeton, former director of labor, licensing, and regulation for the state, has been endorsed by McCarthy. Mace was one of the eight GOP lawmakers who voted to oust him as House speaker this past October.
