AMAC, Just the News announce 2024 Election Townhall interview series
AMAC CEO Rebecca Weber, John Solomon to interview top presidential candidates on Real America’s Voice TV network
The Association for Mature American Citizens (AMAC) – one of the nation’s largest grassroots organizations for Americans over 50 – is partnering with the Just the News to host a series of townhall interviews in October with top presidential candidates that will air on the fast-growing Real America’s Voice television network.
The first interview is slated to air Thursday, October 5 at 6 p.m. ET with business entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, the youngest of the GOP presidential candidates, and will be followed the next evening with a conversation in Mar-a-Lago, Fla. with former President Donald J. Trump. Additional interviews will follow throughout the month.
AMAC CEO Rebecca Weber will join Just the News Editor in Chief John Solomon in interviewing the candidates about their positions, with some of the questions coming directly from AMAC members.
“We are thrilled to speak directly with the top presidential candidates and to hear their plan to address the national challenges that are critical to AMAC members,” Weber said. “This will provide an opportunity to have in-depth conversations on issues such as the economy, border security, healthcare, Social Security, and social issues that are often largely overlooked by the mainstream media and even the Republican debates. We won’t be focused on gotcha questions—we will be focused on the real issues that concern hardworking Americans and American seniors.”
Solomon said the interviews will give a chance for viewers to dig deep into substantive issues in an election often dominated by soundbites and personalities.
“AMAC is one of the most influential grassroots groups in America, and its millions of members have a large stake in the issues at the heart of the 2024 election, from the future of Medicare and Social Security to the porous southern border that is now afflicting every community in America with drugs, crimes and depleted resources,” Solomon said.
“I am excited to partner with AMAC, Real America’s Voice and the candidates to create these conversations to help educate voters before they cast ballots in a few short months,” he added.
Real America's Voice said the townhalls afford Americans a conversation often denied them in traditional news media coverage of the 2024 election.
"As the first GOP 2024 primaries and caucuses kick off in Iowa in just over 100 days from now, we are pleased to present this candidate interview series hosted by our partners, Just The News and AMAC," said Howard Diamond, CEO of Real America's Voice. "Though President Trump is the odds-on favorite for the GOP nomination, it's important that viewers gain insights from these interviews they likely won't get anywhere else in the media."
The interviews can be viewed on the Real America’s Voice television network available on channel 219 on Dish Network, channel 240 on Pluto and the Real America Voice’s apps on Roku, Android and Apple devices. The townhalls will also be posted on the AMAC and Just the News Web sites.
