More than 78% of U.S. adults say they are concerned about the energy bills, according to a recent CNET Money survey.

About a third of the respondents said they are concerned about the cost of energy-efficiency projects, such as upgrades to their HVAC system or installing solar panels, and 70% were taking steps to become more energy efficient.
The portion of adults concerned about energy bills was mostly consistent across regions of the United States.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the cost of energy services was up 4.3% in June over the previous 12 months. Electricity costs were up 4.4% and utility gas service was up 3.7%.
