UK authorities have released Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from custody, following his Thursday arrest in connection with an Epstein-related probe.

The former prince was spotted leaving the police station roughly 11 hours after his initial arrest, The Sun reported. Authorities arrested Mountbatten-Windsor on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

King Charles IIl, the same day, issued a statement, saying "[i]n this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course."

"What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities," he added.

The king previously stripped his brother of his royal titles and the ex-prince has faced scrutiny over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein for years.
