FBI shoots Utah man under investigation for threatening Joe Biden

The FBI fatally shot a man, whom authorities had linked to threats against President Joe Biden and Democratic officials, on Wednesday morning during an FBI raid on a Provo, Utah, residence.
Craig Deleeuw Robertson was under investigation for alleged threats against the president, The Hill reported, citing a sealed complaint. He had allegedly posted comments to social media that indicated an apparent intent to assassinate the commander-in-chief.
"I hear Biden is coming to Utah. Digging out my old ghillie suit and cleaning the dust off the M24 sniper rifle. Welcome, buffoon-in-chief!" he alleged posted.
The complaint also reportedly alleged he made threats against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Vice President Kamala Harris, New York Attorney General Letitia James, and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.
An FBI spokeswoman for the bureau's Salt Lake City field office confirmed the shooting and stated that the matter was under review. The incident occurred at 6:15 a.m.
No agents were injured.
"The incident began when special agents attempted to serve arrest and search warrants at a residence. The subject is deceased," the bureau stated, per NBC.
"The Secret Service is aware of the FBI investigation involving an individual in Utah who has exhibited threats towards a protectee," that agency stated.
