The Washington Examiner reports that Harris paid $1 million to Harpo Productions on Oct. 15.
Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions received $1 million from Vice President Kamala Harris during her bid for president, which is just one example of how much campaign money went to celebrities and entertainers, according to reports.
The Washington Examiner reports that Harris paid $1 million to Harpo Productions on Oct. 15.
This comes shortly after Oprah hosted Harris for a town hall in September, according to Fox News.
The day before Election Day last week, Oprah spoke at Harris's rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
"We’re voting for values and integrity," Winfrey said during the event. "We’re voting for healing over hate."
Harris had campaigned and raised over $1 billion for her campaign. She lost the popular vote and electoral college to President-elect Donald Trump.
DNC National Finance Committee member Lindy Li said during an appearance on Fox and Friends this weekend that “The truth is this is just an epic disaster, this is a $1 billion disaster,” according to The Hill.
“They’re $20 million or $18 million in debt. It’s incredible, and I raised millions of that. I have friends I have to be accountable to and explain what happened because I told them it was a margin-of-error race,” she added.
