Lindsey Halligan, who briefly held a U.S. attorney's post, is under investigation by the Florida bar over her prosecutions of former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The investigation became public in a letter sent to the Campaign for Accountability, which filed complaints against Halligan. The letter, shared with The Hill, saw the Bar tell the watchdog that "[w]e are aware of these developments and have been monitoring them closely."

President Donald Trump tapped Halligan for the Eastern District of Virginia job after the previous officeholder opposed bringing cases against the two Trump opponents.

Halligan ultimately brought the cases, but a judge dismissed both after finding that she was occupying her own post illegally.
