Georgia state Sen. Colton Moore to run for MTG's House seat
Greene has declined to seek reelection and plans to leave office early amid her ongoing feud with President Donald Trump and her disillusionment with the GOP as a whole.
Georgia state Sen. Colton Moore, R, on Monday announced that he would run for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's, R-Ga., House seat following her decision to resign in January.
Moore announced his candidacy in a video post in which he outlined his stances as "100% Pro-Trump
100% Pro-Life
100% Pro-Gun
Deport all illegals
Cheap gas and groceries".
Greene has declined to seek reelection and plans to leave office early amid her ongoing feud with President Donald Trump and her disillusionment with the GOP as a whole.
Moore is well-known in state politics, due largely to his disputes with state GOP leaders over Fulton County District Attorney Fani WIllis's now-defunct case against President Donald Trump. He was arrested in January this year for entering the state House for Gov. Brian Kemp's, R-Ga., state of the state address, despite a ban on his entry.
