The Job Creators Network is pushing for Americans to get back to work following the protracted coronavirus-related slowdown.

The organization on Friday launched its "Flatten the Fear" campaign that calls for the resurgence of the U.S. economy.

The campaign's first stage includes a billboard in New York City's iconic Times Square, a website and an advertisement featuring multiple doctors supportive of reopening society.

"It's time for Main Street to reopen," doctors declare in the commercial.

"Because we know who is at low risk we can let these individuals get back to work," Dr. Kristin Held, M.D. of San Antonio, Texas, says in the video.

Job Creators Network President and CEO Alfredo Ortiz in a press release noted the high unemployment that has rocked the nation in recent months and warned of the negative health consequences of prolonged shutdowns.

"In the past three months, countless Americans have missed out on key preventative and routine treatments because hospitals have been largely closed to non-coronavirus patients," Ortiz said, also pointing to the mental health toll of the shutdown.

"We can isolate the few and protect the many instead of isolating the many to protect the few. If we don’t, sadly we will have more victims of Covid who never have the virus,” he said.
