Renowned epidemiologist slams Dr. Fauci for allegedly influencing CIA COVID origins probe

"It's really bad to conflate science with politics or anything else," Dr. Risch said.

Senior Research Scientist and Professor of Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health Dr. Harvey Risch slammed Dr. Anthony Fauci for allegedly meeting with the CIA about their probe into the origins of COVID-19.

"It's a colossal mistake, because science needs to have its absolutes in the truths of nature, and not in people's motivations or political motivations," Risch said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.

According to a report from Coronavirus Pandemic Select Subcommittee Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-Oh), the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, allegedly met with the CIA and influenced its report about the origins of COVID-19.

Fauci allegedly "was escorted into Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Headquarters—without a record of entry—and participated in the analysis to 'influence' the Agency’s review," Wenstrup said in a letter.

"It's really bad to conflate science with politics or anything else," Dr. Risch said.

Allegations about Fauci's involvement in the CIA report come after the COVID subcommittee said earlier this month that a whistleblower claimed most officers on the CIA's COVID team concluded that the virus originated in a Wuhan lab, but their opinions changed after they were given a "significant monetary incentive."
