Rick Harrison, the star of "Pawn Stars" confirmed Monday that his son Adam, who died on Friday, did so from a fentanyl overdose and urged the nation to address the increasing pervasiveness of the fatal narcotic.
"Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose. The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better," Harrison told TMZ, via a spokesperson. His son was 39 years old.
Adam did not feature on "Pawn Stars" unlike his brother, Corey. The program has run since 2009 on the History Channel and featured other members of the Harrison clan.

The lethality and pervasiveness of the drug has prompted calls for a national crackdown, including proposals from some Republicans do declare fentanyl a weapon of mass destruction.
