White House press secretary Jen Psaki is derided Democrats for criticizing the Biden administration's handling of inflation in the United States.

“Oftentimes we get a little cannibalistic about what our own plans are and whether they are good enough or whether we are passing them fast enough or what have you,” she said Thursday on the "Pod Save America" podcast, Breitbart News reported.

To be sure, some Democrats seeking reelection this year will try to distance themselves from fellow party member President Biden and some administration policies including those trying to slow inflation.

A Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday had Biden's job approval rating at just 33%.

Wholesale prices increased by 11.2% in March compared to the same period last year and rose 1.1% month-to-month from February, according to the Department of Labor.

Psaki also Republicans over the issue, arguing they have no solution to inflation.

"If you look at the other side, there's nothing in the cupboard," she said. "They have zero plan. We all agree inflation is a problem. They have no plan to address. We could be saying that more, and I think it would help."

Democrats in Congress made their opinions known on the issue this week.

West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin said Tuesday said the Biden "administration failed to act fast enough" on inflation. He also said American "deserve the truth about why record inflation is happening and what must be done to control it."
