Biden's job approval rating at 33%, new poll shows
Poll was conducted April 7-11.
A new Quinnipiac University poll shows just 33% of Americans approve of the way President Biden is handling his job.
The poll released Wednesday of 1,412 adults also shows 54% disapprove of Biden's job performance, with 13% not offering an opinion.
The poll was conducted April 7-11 with a 2.6 percentage point margin of error.
The 33% approval rating ties the low Biden received in a Jan. 12 Quinnipiac poll in which his disapproval rating was 53%.
Along party lines, 76% of Democrats surveyed approved of Biden's job performance, while 94% of Republicans disapproved.
Among independents, 56% disapproved and 26% approved — in a midterm election year in which their votes for Democrats or Republicans running in congressional, state and local elections will be critical.
Among registered voters surveyed by Quinnipiac, 35% approved of Biden's job performance, while 55% disapproved and 10% offered no opinion.
