Kansas House approves call for convention of states to draft constitutional amendments

The Kansas state House on Thursday passed a resolution calling for a convention of states to draft amendments to the U.S. Constitution, becoming the 20th state to approve such a call after the upper chamber backed the measure in 2025.
The chamber approved the resolution in an 80-42 vote, according to the Sunflower State Journal. The puts the effort one step closer to the 34 states necessary to hold a constitutional convention.
