First lady Melania Trump on Friday donated her 2025 inaugural gown to the Smithsonian in an event marking its appearance in the museum's exhibit of first ladies.

The white dress features a prominent black stripe. The fitting sessions for the gown featured in the recent "Melania" documentary.

“This is not a dress. This is more than 50 years of education, experience and wisdom realized with each thread,” she said, according to The Hill. “This dress speaks with a distinct point of view... bold and dignified and ruthlessly chic.”

The first lady appeared at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History at an event to mark the exhibit's debut.
