My Pillow founder Mike Lindell is mulling a bid to lead the Republican National Committee and has levied harsh criticism of current chairwoman Ronna McDaniel following the GOP's underperformance in the November midterms.

McDaniel "failed in her leadership," he told the National File, adding "[w]e need a new input to get a different output."

'We need someone who knows how to run a business to lead one of the most important organizations in our country," he continued. The National File reported that Lindell had made his decision though the New York Post contended that pillow mogul was still seeking input from supporters while mulling the campaign.

He told the Huffington Post in an interview that he would make a firm announcement on Monday.

Lindell is not one of the RNC's 168 voting members and the news of his potential leadership bid comes as outgoing New York Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin is reportedly considering his own bid for leadership.

Zeldin mounted an unexpectedly close challenge to Gov. Kathy Hochul in deep blue New York, where the GOP also managed to pick up seats in the House of Representatives.
