Democracy, immigration and economy top issues to voters: AP exit poll

Only one in 10 voters said abortion was a top issue according to a survey from AP VoteCast.

Some of the top issues for voters in the 2024 presidential election include the economy, immigration and the future of democracy.

According to an AP VoteCast survey, about half of the 110,000 voters polled said that the future of democracy was a major concern, according to NBC New York

About four in ten voters said that the economy was a big issue for them and two out of ten said that immigration was a big concern. 

Only one in 10 voters said abortion was a top issue. 

CNN's first exit poll said 43% of voters said they weren't satisfied with the direction the U.S. was going while 29% said they felt angry. 

Under 10% of voters in that poll said they felt enthusiastic about the direction the country was going.
