The majority of respondents to a poll released Friday admitted that they were concerned about President-elect Donald Trump's safety at his upcoming inauguration next week.

The incoming president, who will be sworn in on Monday, has already survived two assassination attempts last year, while he was on the campaign trail. One attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, injured his ear.

The Rasmussen survey found that 55% of likely U.S. voters said they were concerned about his safety, including 31% who are very concerned, up from 51% who said they were concerned ahead of his first inauguration in 2017.

Another 41% said they are not concerned about his safety, including 26% who said they were not concerned at all.

The poll was conducted between January 13-15, 2025, and questioned 1,330 likely voters. It had a 3% plus and minus margin of error.
