Most Americans oppose Hunter Biden plea deal, think he got special treatment: poll
Just over one-third of voters, 37%, approve of the plea deal.
More than half of U.S. voters disapprove of Hunter Biden's plea deal that helped him avoid prison time and more than two-thirds think the first son received special treatment, a new poll released Wednesday shows.
The Rasmussen Reports survey found that 55% of likely U.S. voters disapproved of Hunter Biden's plea deal involving tax and gun crimes, including 41% who strongly disapprove.
Just over one-third of voters, 37%, approve of the plea deal.
When asked how likely it is that Hunter Biden received favorable treatment because his father is President Joe Biden, 67% of respondents said it was somewhat or very likely.
Meanwhile, when asked whether they agree that there is a two-tier justice system in the United States, 58% of voters said they somewhat or strongly agree.
The poll comes amid mounting pressure on the federal judge to reject Hunter Biden's plea deal as evidence emerges showing serious issues in the probe.
The Rasmussen survey consisted of 1,054 likely U.S. voters and was conducted via phone and online June 28-29 and July 2 with a 3% margin of error.
