Nearly two-thirds of U.S. voters say FBI is 'politically weaponized': poll
Democrats are far more likely to view the FBI at least somewhat favorably than Republicans at 69% to 37%, the survey showed.
Nearly two-thirds of U.S. voters say the FBI has been "politically weaponized" by agency leadership, according to a poll.
While half of all U.S. voters have a favorable view of the FBI, 64% agreed with the statement that the "FBI has become 'politically weaponized, starting from the top in Washington,'" according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted this month.
Democrats are far more likely to view the FBI at least somewhat favorably than Republicans at 69% to 37%, the survey showed.
The poll of 950 likely voters was conducted from March 6-8 and it has a 3% margin of error.
At the same time, congressional Republicans are raising the alarm about problems in the FBI. For example, in September, House Judiciary Republicans said more than a dozen whistleblowers told them that the FBI is purging conservative employees.
